The GOVCON SIG will be led by a Board of Directors which will include three members. All positions will be elected by the general membership.

- Scheduling, planning and coordinating SIG meetings
The Chairperson will function as the spokesperson for the GOVCON SIG, and as such is an important representative of the group as well as the OAUG. The Chairperson is also the officer responsible for the management and maintenance of the GOVCON SIG membership lists. The Chairperson will be responsible for the scheduling, planning and coordination of GOVCON SIG meetings. This includes conference calls, GOVCON SIG meetings at Oracle Open World and Collaborate and any other OAUG related GOVCON SIG activity.
Michael Widmer, Sandia National Laboratories
- Assisting Chair in all capacities

The Vice Chairperson is responsible for assisting and supporting the Chairperson in all capacities, as well as assuming the responsibilities of the Chairperson is he/she is unavailable. The Vice Chairperson also may identify one or more objectives for the GOVCON SIG to focus on during his/her term, such as increasing the group’s membership or improving meetings and participation. The Vice Chairperson should also be strongly considered as the next Chairperson, in the event the existing Chairperson chooses to relinquish that position.

- Creating Agenda for board meetings
- Capturing minutes during board calls
The Secretary is a key position that is responsible for recording and documenting information discussed and decided upon at all GOVCON SIG meetings. This entails publishing of meeting minutes, managing the action item list and maintaining all other documents.
OAUG Geo/SIG Liaison
GEO/SIG Coordinator Description
The GEO/SIG Coordinator(s) will help create and maintain relationships among the various local Oracle User Groups and with the SIG Leadership team. The role will also interface with the Oracle to coordinate events and arrange speakers, as well as make sure there is no duplicated content at conferences.
